Are you PCSing to Northern Virginia? With so many bases located in our area, members of our military move in and out every single day. Therefore, I have provided several links below that can help you with this move.

WEBSITES

Move.mil – The ultimate tool for your PCS. This site should be your first stop for information to help get you going and guide you through the process. With links and articles for just about every aspect of the process, it is an extremely valuable tool.

If you have a child that may be struggling with the idea of moving, or you aren’t sure how to approach the situation. So, I recommend checking out Sesame Street for Military Families. It can give you tons of ideas for speaking with your child and helping them cope.

FACEBOOK

Join the PCS Like a Pro – My Smooth Move Facebook group. This is one of the best groups I have seen online for connecting with others, asking questions and getting real life support. They also have TONS of information under their “UNITS” tab that can help you navigate your PCS to Northern Virginia easily.

I recommend using social media as a primary tool in your PCS to Northern Virginia! There are spouse groups you can join for every base and there is also the NOVA/DC Spouse Group covering all of them. You will likely be asked a few questions before approval and will need to make sure you remain respectful and follow their rules.
